I was one in a group of co-ed fraternity pledges who were slowly becoming friends. After the frat history quizzes and blindfolded trips to New Hampshire came cigars and sangria and some sort of celebratory start-of-summer trip to Paris, which I was not spontaneous enough to take. The following Autumn, when we all returned to school, we reassembled and did more or less the same, sans blindfolds, but I never quite clicked with them again. They were just as friendly and open, but I had the strong notion that I was working with less, missing an entire chapter of the textbook.

That's kind of what happened between JD and friends and me. I've missed several episodes, and although I always enjoy watching them when I do, I don't try as hard to show up because I think I have missed so much already.

Okay, this is sounding less and less like a season of Scrubs and more like a major depressive episode.

I have a confession to make: I, too, love House MD. I have only ever seen two episodes of the show, however, so I don't think I could quote him with you. (no worries-- Season 1 is among the 85 titles on my Netflix queue) I could, however, wriggle with glee at the thought of the glories of the show, if that would help in any way.

And yes, he is clearly invested in not being mistaken for an American.
